Inkless Scar Revision
Service Description
What is Inkless Scar Revision? Scar revision is a cosmetic technique that reduces the appearance of scars without using pigment or tattoo ink. Instead, the process involves applying a custom blend of vitamins, serums, and healing agents to the skin using a tattoo machine. The fine needles create micro-channels, allowing the nutrient-rich serums to penetrate deeply and stimulate the body’s natural collagen production and healing response. The treatment can help smooth and improve the texture and colour of scars, making them less noticeable. Results are long lasting but vary based on the individual’s skin type, the age, texture, and depth of the scars, and multiple sessions may be needed for optimal results. Scars can be treated as early as 3 months, surgical scars are best at 6–12 months (closer to 9–12 months for big body-contouring scars). Scar Types We Can Help With Flat surgical lines (C-section, tummy tuck/body lift, joint, spine/neck, “keyhole” dots, biopsy/Mohs): Softens texture, blends edges, may improve overall look. Stretch marks (striae): Excellent for texture and narrow/indented lines; older white marks may still need colour camouflage after inkless. Everyday injury scars (cuts, scrapes/road rash, bites/scratches, small punctures, impact marks): Good for smoothing and blending when fully healed. Self-harm scars (healed, flat): Can soften and blur; often paired with camouflage if colour loss remains. Acne/chickenpox (select shallow/flat areas): May help mild texture; deeper pits (ice-pick/boxcar) are usually poor candidates. What to Expect 1. Consult: goals, photos, custom plan. 2. Multiple sessions: 2–6 sessions, 6–8 weeks apart (varies by scar, age, and skin). 3. Aftercare (first 5–7 days): keep clean/dry; avoid heavy sweat, pools/saunas; don’t pick. 4. Goal: softer texture, better blend; camouflage can then fine-tune colour for a more uniform look. Please carefully review the Pre-Care & Post-Care page, and the Studio Policy page before booking your appointment.
