
PRE-CARE & POST-CARE INFORMATION
PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
General (PMU, Paramedical Tattooing, Laser Services)
• Eat a balanced meal before your appointment.
• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for 24 hours prior.
• No blood thinners for 3 days before treatment unless medically necessary and approved.
• No Accutane for 6 months prior.
• No Botox or other injectables in the treatment area within 2 weeks.
• Discontinue retinol, glycolic acid, and exfoliating products in the treatment area for 1 week prior.
• Avoid tanning, sunburns, chemical peels, or laser treatments in the area for 2 weeks prior.
• Wear loose clothing for easy access to the treatment area.
• Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin in the treatment area.

PMU Brows – Pre-Care
• No tweezing, waxing, or tinting brows for 48 hours prior.
• Discontinue brow growth serums 4 weeks prior.
• Do not take blood thinning medications, consume caffeine or alcohol 24 hrs before your treatment, as this will cause your blood to thin and bleed more, resulting in poor pigment retention.

Paramedical Tattoo – Pre-Care
• Gently exfoliate the area 1–2 days prior.
• Moisturize daily for 1 week prior.
• No laser, microneedling, or chemical peels in the area for 4 weeks prior.
• No tanning, sun exposure, or self-tanner for 2 weeks prior.
• Collagen supplements may be recommended during a treatment series.

Red/Infrared Light Therapy - Contraindications & Precautions

Pulsing: Wear goggles. Avoid if you have epilepsy, prone to seizures, or light sensitivity.

Pregnancy: Consult your healthcare provider before use.

Skin Cancer: Do not use on suspected or confirmed cancerous areas; consult your oncologist.

Hyperthyroidism (Neck/Upper Chest): Use caution—seek medical advice first.

Implants/Medical Devices: Generally safe—confirm with your doctor.

Open Wounds (bleeding, deep cut)/Sunburn: Do not treat until fully healed.

Photosensitivity / Photosensitizing Medications: Avoid unless cleared by a healthcare provider.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
PMU Brows
Days 1–7:
• Keep the area dry; avoid sweating, swimming, hot tubs, and saunas.
• Wash gently with unscented antibacterial soap using clean hands twice daily. Pat dry with a clean tissue or gauze.
• Apply a thin layer of aftercare (grain of rice to pea-sized amount) with clean hands or a Q-tip:
• Oily skin: once daily
• Dry skin: twice daily
• Expect pigment to darken before it lightens.
Days 8+:
• Expect a "ghosting" phase. This is where pigment fades and for some, it may look blotchy or that the pigment disappeared. This is part of the healing process, the pigment will return.
• Pigment can fade 30–50%.
• Healing takes 4–8 weeks depending on skin type.
• This is a 2-step process; a touch-up is done 6–8 weeks post-treatment.
• Do not pick or scratch — allow skin to shed naturally.

Paramedical Tattooing / Scar & Stretch Mark Revision
Immediately After:
• Wash gently with unscented antibacterial soap upon arriving home.
• Apply a thin layer of healing ointment with clean hands. Do not apply regeneration cream until the next day.
• Avoid showering the night of treatment; shower before your appointment.
• Do not take Advil for 24 hours after treatment.
Next Day & Ongoing Care:
• Continue washing gently twice daily, pat dry, apply regeneration cream (if provided), then healing ointment.
• Apply aftercare 2x daily or as needed to keep skin hydrated for 8 weeks or until next treatment.
• Recommended products: Cicaplast B5, CeraVe, or coconut oil.
What to Expect:
• Redness/swelling 24–72 hours is normal.
• Pigment darkens then softens.
• Hyperpigmentation may last 7–45 days.
• Full healing: 4–8 weeks, longer in darker skin tones.
• Multiple sessions (2–5) may be required.
Restrictions:
• No tanning/self-tanner for 30 days.
• No exfoliation, saltwater, pools, or hot tubs for 14 days.
• Avoid hot water on the area for a few days.
• No laser hair removal, waxing, or harsh treatments for 14 days.
• Do not pick or scratch — allow skin to shed naturally.
